La Fondation Compagnom stands out for the way it funds its activities. It is the only organization of its kind to support its charitable actions mainly through its professional and commercial operations such as hotel management and food services. The foundation has a team of experts in those fields and uses the income from its business activities to provide low-cost respite stays to beneficiaries at the establishments it manages.

Hotel management

La Fondation Compagnom manages and operates the Bistro La Traite as well as two hotel establishments. The first is the Manoir D’Youville, which belongs to the city of Châteauguay and is located on beautiful Saint-Bernard Island. The Manoir D’Youville offers a full-service hotel experience and features 117 rooms, a dining room, meeting rooms and fully licensed reception halls, the Bistro du terroir and a wide variety of recreational activities.

The second hotel establishment managed by La Fondation Compagnom is the Auberge La Huardière. Located in the middle of the forest in Saint-Michel-des-Saints and on the shores of Lake Lusignan, this inn is owned by the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). This four-star resort offers a full-service hotel experience and features 47 rooms, a fully licensed dining room, meeting and training rooms as well as many amenities and recreational facilities.

Auberge La Huardière

La Fondation Compagnom’s commitment to the owners of the establishments it operates is to provide sound hotel management and ensure that charitable activities are complementary to the growth and sustainability of the establishments. In addition, it encourages the owners of these establishments to make their lodging and food facilities more accessible for people with reduced mobility.
